Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Polyglot.

These Terms of Use govern your use of Polyglot and its related services.

By accessing or using Polyglot, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use Polyglot.

1. Introduction

Polyglot is a service for preparing for German language exams. It offers lessons, a level test, speaking practice with an AI conversation partner, AI-generated feedback and a personal study plan. These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and Polyglot regarding your use of the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Polyglot. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the service if required by applicable law.

3. Accounts

You sign in to Polyglot through Telegram. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your Telegram account in Polyglot. If you believe your account has been used without authorization, contact support.

4. Your Content

You may provide answers, written messages and voice input when you use Polyglot, for example in exercises, the tutor chat and role-play calls.

You retain ownership of your content. By providing it, you grant Polyglot a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process and transmit it solely to operate, provide and improve the features you use, such as checking your answers, recognizing your speech and giving feedback.

5. Subscription and Billing

Lessons beyond onboarding, the level test and the trial lesson require a paid subscription.

• Subscriptions are sold through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and processes your payment.
• A subscription may start with a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you are charged the price shown at checkout.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it before renewal.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in the app under Profile, then “Управление подпиской”.
• We do not receive your full payment card information.
• To request a refund, contact support. We review each request and may issue a refund.

6. AI Features Disclaimer

Polyglot uses AI to check answers, assess speaking, act as a conversation partner and give hints. AI results may be incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent. Polyglot does not guarantee any exam result. The study plan and its dates are estimates.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful or abusive, or that violates the rights of others;
• use the service to create deceptive, harmful or harassing content;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, disrupt or misuse the service;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other users’ accounts;
• use the service for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Polyglot service, including its design, code, branding, lessons and flashcards, belong to Polyglot. Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use our trademarks, logos or materials without our written permission. Your content remains subject to Section 4.

9. Limitation of Liability

Polyglot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Polyglot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes loss of data, exam results, or reliance on AI-generated feedback.

10. Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access to Polyglot if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or third parties, or misuse the service.

To delete your account, contact support. We may then delete your account and the data linked to it, unless retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the app under Profile, then “Управление подпиской”.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Polyglot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by applicable law. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact support and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

13. Telegram

Polyglot is available as a Telegram mini app and as a web app. When you use Polyglot through Telegram, Telegram is not a party to these Terms of Use, and your use of Telegram is governed by Telegram’s own terms.
